Why you’ll love Mediterranean Greek turkey meatballs

They’re basically, a ticket to a Mediterranean vacation without leaving your kitchen. I whipped up these meatballs on a whim one weeknight when dinner inspiration was low, and now they’re on heavy rotation.

Whether you pair them with a fresh salad, tuck them into a pita, or just dunk them unapologetically in tzatziki, they’re a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Trust me, one bite and you’ll feel like you’re dining al fresco in Santorini. And honestly, they’re so simple to make, you’ll impress yourself. Wash this down with Lychee Lemonade for a real treat.

Commonly Asked Questions

Can I bake these Greek turkey meatballs instead of frying them?

Absolutely! Preheat your oven to 375°F. Place the meatballs on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.

What can I substitute for ground turkey?

Ground chicken or lean ground beef works perfectly. For a vegetarian twist, you can use a plant-based ground meat alternative.

How do I store leftovers?

Store leftover turkey meatballs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat them on the stovetop or microwave until warm.

Greek Turkey Meatballs

By August DeWindt
These Greek turkey meatballs are packed with flavor and take less than 20 minutes to make.
Prep: 10 minutes
Cook: 8 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • ½ tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • ¼ c red onion, diced
  • 3 tbsp dill, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • ½ c panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
  • Tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  • To a large mixing bowl, add all of the ingredients and mix together until well combined. Use your hands to do this. Form into 1 inch sized meatballs.
  • Heat a large pan over medium heat with the olive oil. Once hot, add the meatballs and cook for about 8 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking and browning on all sides. Do this in batches if needed so the pan won’t overcrowd.
  • I like to serve with tzatziki sauce, salad and sometimes pita bread. Eat and enjoy!
