Homemade lychee lemonade is a refreshing treat for warmer days. It takes minutes to make and I’m sure you won’t want to stop sipping!

The perfect summer drink

I absolutely LOVE lychee! If it is lychee flavored, I am ordering it. It’s great on its own but even better in a beverage.

Lychee is very fruity with floral notes and adds a nice contrast to the tart lemons in lemonade. Since lychee is a tropical fruit, I always feel like I’m on an island when sipping on this drink.

It comes together in mere minutes. I like to use canned lychees as opposed to fresh lychees because the syrup in the can helps add to the sweetness of the drink.

Adding mint leaves and letting them sit in the lemonade for a bit adds a nice herbal flavor as well.

Ingredients for Lychee Lemonade

This recipe uses very little ingredients! Only 4 if you don’t include the water and ice, which you probably have at home already.

Lychee – I use canned lychee in syrup. The syrup is used to add liquid, extra flavor and sweetness to the lemonade. Canned lychee is usually available in supermarkets but if you can’t find it, for sure it will be at the Asian grocery store.

Lemon – It can’t be lemonade without lemons of course! Instead of juicing the lemons separately, I like to just peel off the skin and blend the lemon with the lychees.

Sugar – I like to use white granulated sugar for this recipe as it dissolves well without making a simple syrup. I gradually add the sugar and adjust to my liking. Start off small because you can always add more.

Mint leaves – I like to add mint leaves to the lychee lemonade for a refreshing herbal flavor. The longer the mint leaves sit in the pitcher, the stronger the flavor will be.
