This easy peach cobbler recipe is the perfect summer dessert. Using canned peaches and self rising flour really makes this recipe simple and fool proof. The buttery cinnamon spiced crust rises up around the sweet peaches to create a delicious dessert that is sure to get compliments. I won’t tell them how easy it was if you don’t, haha.

Southern peach cobbler was one of the best desserts my grandma would make growing up. So, because I’m not the best at baking, I wanted to recreate some of that magic from my childhood, but the easiest way possible. This is a smaller batch recipe so for when you want just enough with room to share.

Ingredients for easy peach cobbler

  • Self-Rising Flour: The base for the cobbler crust that rises up around the peaches. If you don’t have any, see the note below.
  • Granulated Sugar: Sweetens the batter just enough to balance the tartness of the peaches.
  • Milk: Helps create a smooth, pourable batter.
  • Canned Peaches in Heavy Syrup : Gives that juicy, sweet filling with some texture.
  • Brown Sugar: Deepens the flavor of the filling with a rich, molasses note.
  • Ground Cinnamon & Nutmeg: Adds warmth and brings out that Southern dessert flavor.
  • Lemon Juice: Brightens the filling and balances the sweetness.
  • Vanilla Extract: Adds a smooth finish and depth to the peaches.
  • Melted Butter: Creates the golden, crisp edges as the batter bakes.
