How to make this recipe

Alright, let me break it down for you. This sauce is pure magic. First, I melt some butter because everything’s better with butter, right? After I like to skim off the top layer of white, which are the milk solids. This makes it more like clarified butter.

Next, I  throw in a generous amount of minced garlic and let it sizzle for a hot second. Now comes the fun part—adding in all those glorious seasonings. Cajun seasoning, spicy Old Bay, smoked paprika—oh honey, it’s a flavor explosion.

A squeeze of lemon juice brightens it up, and a touch of parsley gives it that fresh, herby finish.

This cajun butter sauce is loaded with garlic and a kick of Cajun spices. It’s perfect for drizzling over your favorite seafood or veggies.

Total: 13 minutes
Servings: 1 tablespoon

  • 1 ½ sticks of butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ tbsp cajun seasoning
  • 2 tsp hot old bay seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • ½ tbsp parsley , finely chopped
  • Pinch sugar, optional

  • Over medium heat melt the butter in a small saucepan.
  • Once melted, I like to skim off the top white layer with a spoon. You can skip this step if you want.
  • Next, reduce the heat to medium low and add in the garlic and let cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
  • Add in all the seasonings, stir and let cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add in the squeeze of lemon, parsley and pinch of sugar. Stir a couple of times to combine everything.
  • You can use this right away to pair with your favorite seafood or to go on vegetables.
