- 1 ½ sticks of butter unsalted
- 5 cloves garlic minced
- 1 ½ tbsp cajun seasoning use one either without salt or where salt isn't the first ingredient
- 2 tsp hot old bay seasoning
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Juice of half a lemon
- ½ tbsp parsley finely chopped
- Pinch sugar optional but helps with salt content
Over medium heat melt the butter in a small saucepan.
Once melted, I like to skim off the top white layer with a spoon. You can skip this step if you want.
Next, reduce the heat to medium low and add in the garlic and let cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
Add in all the seasonings, stir and let cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add in the squeeze of lemon, parsley and pinch of sugar. Stir a couple of times to combine everything.
You can use this right away to pair with your favorite seafood or to go on vegetables.
