These air fryer green beans are what I make when I want something healthy but still full of flavor. They come out tender with a little snap, coated in garlic, ginger, and just enough heat. Seven minutes in the air fryer and you’ve got a vegetable side that’s quick, easy and delicious.

Ingredient Breakdown

  • Green Beans – Fresh and crisp, they hold their bite while blistering in the air fryer.
  • Olive Oil – Helps the seasoning stick, makes the green beans tender and promotes that light char.
  • Red Pepper Flakes – Add a subtle kick without overpowering.
  • Garlic Powder – Brings savory depth to every bite.
  • Fresh Minced Garlic – Adds bold, aromatic flavor.
  • Salt & Pepper – Balance and enhance the natural flavor of the beans.
  • Ginger Paste – Adds warmth and a slight zing that brightens everything up.

What should I serve air fryer green beans with?

These green beans go great with so many dishes. They pair perfectly with honey garlic chicken, bang bang salmon, garlic butter steak bites, or even alongside rice bowls.

Commonly Asked Questions

Can I make these without ginger?

Absolutely. The ginger adds warmth, but the garlic and pepper flakes carry the flavor just fine on their own. Add some lemon at the end for an extra zing.

How do I reheat these green beans?

Pop them back in the air fryer at 375°F for 2–3 minutes to revive the texture.

How do I keep green beans crispy in the air fryer?

Try not to overcrowd the basket too much. If you shake halfway through, the green beans will bee cooked evenly.

Air Fryer Green Beans

By August DeWindt
These air fryer green beans are crispy, tender, garlicky, and lightly spiced with red pepper flakes and ginger. They take only ten minutes to make, which makes them a great weeknight side vegetable.
Prep: 3 minutes
Cook: 7 minutes
Servings: 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Green beans
  • ½ tablespoon Olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger paste

Instructions

  • Wash the green beans and trim off ends if needed. I like to buy them in a bag pre-trimmed to avoid this haha.
  • Preheat the airfryer to 400 degrees.
  • Place the green beans in a bowl and add all of the ingredients. Toss to combine to really coat each green bean. Sometimes I’ll massage the ingredients in as well.
