Whether you’re feeding a crowd or just treating yourself, these cheeseburger sliders will have everyone reaching for seconds. They are made with juicy ground beef, sweet caramelized onions, and melted cheese on soft Hawaiian rolls. I love making these for parties, but let’s be real sometimes I just want a tray of mini burgers for myself.

There’s something about cheeseburger sliders that makes people lose their minds. Maybe it’s the buttery, golden Hawaiian rolls. Maybe it’s the juicy, seasoned beef smothered in melty cheese. Or maybe it’s the fact that they disappear from the tray in record time. Whatever it is, these sliders are always a hit.
Ingredients for Hawaiian roll cheeseburger sliders

- Yellow onion: Adds a slightly sweet, rich flavor when caramelized.
- Olive oil & butter: The perfect combo for cooking onions and beef. The olive oil prevents burning, while butter adds flavor.
- Ground beef: The star of the show, seasoned to perfection.
- Worcestershire sauce: Gives the beef a deep, savory, slightly tangy flavor.
- Salt & ground black pepper: The basics to bring out the flavor of the beef.
- Garlic powder: Adds extra depth and a subtle kick.
- Sliced cheese: Because what’s a burger without gooey, melted cheese?
- Hawaiian rolls: Soft, slightly sweet rolls that take these sliders over the top.
- Melted butter: Brushed on top for that golden, glossy finish.
- Sesame seeds: Adds a little crunch and a classic burger bun look.
How to make hamburger sliders
Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a baking sheet. Sauté the onions in olive oil and butter until caramelized a little, then remove from the pan.
Brown the ground beef, drain excess fat, and season with Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottom half on the baking sheet. Layer on the beef, onions, and cheese, then place the top half of the rolls on top.

Press down slightly, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 10 minutes until golden and melty.
Serve hot with your favorite condiments.

Can I make these cheeseburger sliders with Hawaiian rolls ahead of time?
Yes! Assemble the cheeseburger sliders ahead of time, cover them tightly, and store them in the fridge. Bake when ready to serve.
To reheat the sliders, I like to just pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds, If they were cold, microwave for about 45 seconds.
