Listen, sometimes you just want something easy, cute, and good for you that doesn’t take all day or require a pantry overhaul. That’s where this 3-ingredient chia pudding comes in. It’s my go to that makes me feel like I’ve got my life together, even if I’m running out the door five minutes late. All I need is chia seeds, milk, and a little honey. I stir it, chill it, and just like that I’ve got a creamy, naturally sweet pudding ready for whatever toppings my heart desires.

Ingredient breakdown for 3-Ingredient Chia Pudding

  • Chia seeds – These little seeds soak up liquid and thicken into a pudding-like texture while packing fiber and omega-3s.
  • Milk of choice – I use oat milk for a creamy, dairy-free option, but any milk works. Go with what you’ve got.
  • Honey – Adds just enough sweetness to make it feel like a treat without being overly sugary.

Faqs about this recipe

What size jar should I use?

An 8 to 16 oz mason jar works great, especially if you plan to add toppings later.

Why is my chia pudding clumpy?

Chia seeds tend to sink and clump if not stirred properly. That second stir after 15 minutes is key.

How long does it last in the fridge?

Chia pudding keeps well for up to 5 days, so go ahead and make a few jars in advance.

What toppings go well with chia pudding?

Berries, granola, yogurt, banana slices, coconut flakes, or nut butters are all fair game.

Recipe Tip

It really is all about the toppings with chia pudding. I personally think chia pudding is a bit bland but that’s okay! The toppings combined with the pudding brings everything together.
