Easy Apple Tart

Easier than making apple pie, these apple pie tarts come together in a jiffy. They are bite size and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 apples cored and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 6 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 puff pastry sheet thawed
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • In a mixing bowl places the apple slices & mix with cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, and butter.
  • Cut the puff pastry into six equal rectangles. Place the squares on a lined baking sheet with parchment paper or a greased baking tray.
  • Arrange the sliced apples in a layer on the squares. It's okay if a they overlap. Brush on any remaining sugar/seasoning mix that may still be in the mixing bowl.
  • Whisk together the egg and water. Brush the mixture on the exposed edges of the pastry.
  • Bake in oven for 20 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Top with powdered sugar if you want.
  • Eat and enjoy.
