Fajita Marinade

This bold and citrusy fajita marinade is packed with fresh flavor, smoky spices and the perfect amount of heat. Ideal for shrimp, steak or chicken!

Ingredients

  • ¼ c Cilantro chopped
  • 1 jalapeno chopped
  • 2 oranges juiced
  • 3 limes juiced
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tbsp guajillo chile powder
  • 2 tsp Cumin
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • ½ tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Brown sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • 4 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a bowl and whisk together. Pour over your meat of choice and let marinate for at least an hour and up to overnight.
    Fajita marinade in a bowl and ziplock with steak.
  • Great with steak, shrimp or chicken!
    Steak fajitas on a sheet pan tray with tortillas and guacamole.

Notes

Marinate chicken and steak for at least 1 hour and up to overnight. Marinate shrimp for 30 minutes to an hour. 
Make a sauce with the leftover marinate by bringing it to a boil and letting the liquid reduce by half. 
This recipe will work on 1.5-2lbs of meat.
